China Discovery Trip September 2024 - Part 2

Wrapping up our final day in China!

After exciting stops in Shanghai and Hangzhou, we continued our journey to Chengdu and Beijing. Under the leadership of Prof. Rudy Aernoudt, our delegation had the opportunity to connect with local Chinese companies through several matchmaking meetings organized by UNIDO ITPO Beijing. We also had insightful discussions with the team from JOUAV UAS Solutions, a leading specialist in UAV/drone solutions, and explored how global tech giant Lenovo positions itself with an impressive array of products.

Throughout the trip, Prof. Rudy Aernoudt delivered impactful speeches at various events, shedding light on international trade relations and fostering deeper connections between China and Belgium.

To conclude our company visits, we experienced cutting-edge technological innovation firsthand by riding in an autonomous vehicle developed by Pony.ai – completely driverless! This was followed by fascinating discussions with one of the key members of the startup.
